On chapter 44 Jamilah figured it out who is she, that day Jamilah was in her house and phoned Amy to invited to her house but also to told her the truth. Amy arrived and she saw for the first time her house, the went to Jamilah's room and Jamilah started talking, Amy reacted good she understand perfect what Jamilah was passing but she also said to her that she must not be ashemd of who she is, the Jamilah asked Amy why she was been so sad, Amy said that there were jus stuff but this time Jamilah asked her again and told her why she cant be opened with her, so Amy started talking she had troubles with her family, Jamilah hugged her and then they dinner. On chapter 45 Jamilah was on the school when suddenly Peter started bothering a guy, then Timothy arrived and Peter started bothering again of course he defend him, Jamilah was proud of Timothy but ashemd of not trut him, so Jamilah wants him back as her friend. The on her house Jamilah was talking with her Dad and Sajda when her brother arrived and told Jamilah that Amy called, that he said to her Jamilah is going to talked with her later, Bilal said to Jamilah to made him a tea, Jamilah didn't want to do it but Bilal gave her a sign to let him alone with Sajda and his Dad. Jamila went to the kitchen and listened her brother saying to her Dad to let her go tho her formal, Bilal promised her Dad he will be there, taking care of her sister. Sajda also convinced her Dad, Jamilah's Dad accepted, Jamilah ran and kissed everyone, she was really happy. On chapter 46 Jamilah was looking for her outfit for the formal, Sajda helped her and at the other day the will go shopping. On chapter 47, the last one, Jamilah was getting ready to her formal, they left her house, Bilal was driving his friends car a BMW, they arrived to the formal and Bilal said to her have fun I'll be in a table. Jamilah was dancing with Amy and Lindsay, whe she asked Amy if she had seen Timothy she said no. Jamilah was looking for him when she saw Peter, Sam and Liz, Peter asked where was her date, Jamilah said it was there, Peter started bothering her and Jamilah left him speaking alone. Jamilah went with Bilal and started crying, Bilal asked her what happened, Jamilah said that she needs to found Timothy that was better to leave, Bilal said no and found Timothy and said to him: "My sister has been looking for you, so pay attention to her and don't do anything to her". Jamilah and Timothy talked, Jamilah said she was sorry, Timothy accepted but he asked her something if he was talking with Jamilah or Jamie, Jamilah answered to him that Jamie don't exist anymore, so Timothy kissed her, Jamilah felt good, but she said that they can be friends, Timothy accepted. Mustafa her partner of the Arabic school told her that the show was going to start, Jamilah was nervous, Mr. Anderson announced that in 15 minutes the band was going to present, so Peter said some bad comments, Bilal went with him and told him that he was a racist and that his sister was going to played in that band, and if he said something he would see the consequences. Jamilah played with all the confidence she had, and felt for the first time who was her.

On chapter 39 Shereen Jamilah's sister said to them that it was te opportunity to talked with her Dad, he was in a good mood, so Bilal talked with him about the new job he got, of course that job didn't like the father but he accepted. Also in this chapter Jamilah noticed that Amy had been absent three days, she was worried because she don't had a text from her. Liz arrived with Jamilah and said to her that if she was excited, Jamilah asked her why,, Liz said to her that Peter was going to asked her in the formal way to went out with him, Jamilah wasn't paying attention to Liz, she was thinking about Amy sho she asked Liz if she know something about her, Liz said no that they weren't that close anymore, suddenly Peter arrived and asked Jamilah, Jamilah for the first time realized she deserved more and said to Peter that she already had a date, Peter was surprises. Jamilah said to her that this would be the last lie. On chapter 40 Jamilah was working on McDonald's when suddenly Timothy arrived and said to her a kind of joke, Jamilah was angry, Timothy apologized and they started discussing, when suddenly Timothy realized that they were making a show so he said Jamilah to leave it there. In Jamilah's house uncle Joseph the one that's always saying things about Jamilah, Bilal and Shereen was talking with her dad, of course saying other things, Jamilah's dad said to him that thank you but he knows very good his son and daughters, of course Jamilah heard and felt proud of it. On chapter 41 Jamilah's father asked for a family meeting, he told his son and daughters that her Mom was the best he ever had, but he met somebody that he wished to married and it was Miss Sajda, the teacher of Jamilah at the Arabic school. The three were confused, Bilal accepted, Shereen was confused as Jamilah. Jamilah more because she already told everything on her life to Miss Sajda. On chapter 42 Jamilah was on the Arabic school, she wasn't paying attention and when the class finished, she told her partners that she was not staying to practiced. Miss Sajda told Jamilah if she can talked with her, Jamilah accepted and Miss Sajda told her about how she was in love with her Dad, Jamilah was angry, confused, etc. so she answered to Miss Sajda that she used her, that she wants to know what she was passin through to had some points, Miss Sajda said that it was not true, Jamilah stopped and went to her house. On chapter 43 all the family was cleaning the house because they were going to read the first chapter from the Koran to formally announced and bless their intentions of marrying. Jamilah's Dad ordered a lamb to roast and other typical Lebanese food. They spend the night happy and Miss Sajda told Jamilah to trust in her, Jamilah smiled and said yes, Jamilah was thinking all the good things that can happen including her Dad's happiness.

On chapter 34 Jamilah's aunt invited them and also Miss Sajda to a barbecue on her house, they ate, they talked, they joke, etc. Jamilah helped her aunt to washed the dishes and cleaned the table whe they finished Jamilah went to the table and sit down. Her aunt asked her of she doesn't have a a dance or something for being on tenth grade, Jamilah answered yes we do but my dad wont let me go, her aunt asked her dad why, her dad avoid and just answered that he had his reasons, so Jamilah got angry and started talking with her dad or fighting, of course she was crying and prefers to went to her room. On chapter 35 Jamilah was seeing photos about her Mom and Dad, when suddenly her Dad knocked the door and started talking with Jamilah about how they lived when they were together and how was her Mom. On chapter 36 Jamilah was on her break at work when Timothy arrive, they started talking about their family's situation when suddenly her aunt saw them together and mentioned to Jamilah's dad, whe Jamilah arrived gome her Dad told her what her aunt told him, Jamilah said it was just a friend but her Dad didn't believe her. Jamilah got angry again and went to her room. The other day Jamilah phoned her Dad and told him that she needs to go to Amy's house, of course this was a lie, Amy was absent today, she went with Peter, Liz and Sam to the movies, after they saw the movie the three guys were smoking and Jamilah just tasted, when her brother arrived to pick her up, he said that she smell like cigarette, so Jamilah went to the bathroom and washed her hair, when she returned to the car, Bilal had a fad face. On chapter 37 Bilal and his Dad are fighting because Bilal arrived home smelling of alcohol and smoke, they were screaming at the middle of the night so her sister shut them, each one went to their room. On the morning Jamilah's sister left her a note that it was not posible to be in home all the day, Jamilah took a shower and said Good Morning to her Dad, few minutes later Bilal and her Dad left the house, then Jamilah's sister called her and said that she was arrested because of protested, she said to Jamilah to got a lawyer to helped her. Jamilah wrote an email for John asking for help, he answered too meet him on Parramatta police station. On chapter 38 Jamilah took a taxi and arrived as fast as she can to the police station, the she was waiting to find John and then she felt a hand on her back, it was Timothy saying Hello, Jamilah asked him what he was doing there, Timothy said to her that her mother was parking the car and she will help. Timothy was John, yes John the one that has been emailing Jamilah, Jamilah was confused and angry, because he didn't mentioned anything to her, but her Mom was helping her sister, after two hours finally her sister wen out and Jamilah asked Timothy's mother how many she owe's. Timothy's mother said nothing that she just did it beause Timothy asked her as a special favor for a friend. Jamilah said thanks but she she was confused.

On chapter 29 Jamilah an her friends practiced for the formal, it was great. Miss Sajda turned on the music and Jamilah played it very well, the teacher was really proud of how they did it. When she mentioned she was proud, Jamilah mentioned to all her partner to be careful woth a guy named Peter, then Miss Sajda asked her what was wrong, Jamilah said to her she wouldn't understand, but then Jamilah started crying and mentioned to her teacher all she's been trough. Miss Sajda listened to her and gave her some tips. On chapter 30 Jamilah was talking with Peter when Timothy and Lindsay enter the hallway, of course Peter started bothering, Jamilah went to her locker and Timothy asked her What she see in him?, Jamilah said nothing. Timothy knows that there's something between Jamilah and Peter. On chapter 31 Jamilah practiced with her darubaka on her room and started thinking that she pretty love her culture, all the food, the music, the dance, etc. but there was something that won't let her accept. On chapter 32 Jamilah arrived her home and her aunt was there cooking, Jamilah mentioned her aunt about her father and the formal, she said that all would be better if her Mom be here. Her aunt mentioned Jamilah that her Mom was more strict than her dad, Jamilah confused so much and listened all the stories her aunt knows about her Mom. On chapter 33 Mustafa a partner of her Arabic school talked with her and asked her what was going on with her, Jamilah didn't told him and she avoid the theme. Mustafa said to her that he knows what happened and he wrote a song for her, he mentioned to her and Jamilah was surprised.

On chapter 24 said that she's happy because it's the end of the semester and because autumn has arrived, she said that there is a direct correlation between the weather and her moods. She also mentioned that before she went to the school she left a letter to her dad on the table, the letter mentioned about the formal of the school, she gave her father some reasons to let her go. In the school Jamilah received 3 text messages that said: "Thank you for your letter, but the answer is still no, you're going to understand one day". On chapter 25 Jamilah email again John with the same reason, that she's not allowed to go to the formal, that her band has been hired to perform on her school and that her dad says she can play in the band but she have to leave early. John replays her telling that she need an antidote for Catagelophobia (afraid of people's opinion), he mentioned that she needs to stop worrying about how other people judge her, she needs to trust that her friends will respect her for who she is, she needs to know that there are more that ten things she should LOVE or LIKE. Jamilah didn't answer, she was working and when it was the time to take some lunch, she noticed Timothy was arriving to McDonald's, Timothy said hello to her and they start talking, after she end working, Jamilah arrived to her house, email John and she received an email that said that she's been blocked, she was impressed. On chapter 26 Jamilah said to her partners that she can play with them, her partners where surprised and started to asked her some questions, her teacher knows about Jamilah's situation and start talking with her, how difficult was to live in another country being Lebanese. On chapter 27 she was working when she noticed that an uncle was there, her uncle realized she was there and said hello, he mentioned Jamilah that it's better not to work on night. When Jamilah's father pick her up, her dad mentioned Jamilah that if she saw her uncle, and that her uncle mentioned that it was better that she stop working on night, Jamilah begged her father and said to him that he must ignore him, her dad understand and said to her: "Okay Jamilah you win this time". On chapter 28 Jamilah was working with Timothy on the project, they started talking about Peter and all that kind of people that change her life to fit in a group of people, when Liz arrived and Timothy left the library, Liz mentioned to Jamilah that she was making a big mistake, that Peter it's interested on Jamilah but she needs to stop talking with Timothy; Amy arrived and started making some naughty comments to Liz, asking her why she changed. Amy mentioned Liz that Jamie (Jamilah) isn't a fake. Jamilah thought "I don't deserve that" and we know why she thought that, because in school its Jamie not Jamilah.

On chapter 19 Jamilah it's in detention because of Peter, that's because Peter did a bad joke, when Jamilah notice that Peter was doing that, she distract Mr. Anderson and they went to another place, so in the class Mr. Anderson put his hand on the eraser and the glue was there, so Mr. Anderson asked who did it, no one answer so he believe that it was a coincidence that Jamilah talked with him and then happens this, so he said Jamilah did it. Timothy defend her and the two were on detention that day, Peter thanks Jamilah for no telling he did, but Jamilah was angry. That day in detention Jamilah thanks Timothy for defending her, and they talked the two hours of detention. On chapter 20 Jamilah talks with her brother, Bilal, they talked about how her father is, and how they miss their mom. Jamilah went to the Amy's house and they saw a movie, few hours later Jamilah left Amy's house and her sister picked her up at a café in Parramatta. She didn't want Shereen to pick her up from Amy's house. On the way Jamilah said to her sister if she can help to convince her father to let her go to the formal that is going to be on the school. A formal is like a party from the school where they can sing, dance, eat, etc. Her sister accepted to help Jamilah, few hours later Jamilah saw her sister and her sister told her that she was sorry. On chapter 21 Jamilah it's with her friends on Madrasa, the Arabic school she goes. When the teacher arrived, she told everyone that their band has their first presentation, it was good but her teacher told them that the presentation of the band is in Jamilah's school, Jamilah was terrified it cant be in her school and they're going to present on the formal. The teacher said to Jamilah that she's going to talk with her father about it, Jamilah said thanks but no thanks. On chapter 22 Jamilah all that she heard on her school was about the formal and she was not that happy listening everyone outfits, dates, etc. knowing that she's not been there. That day Jamilah had to make the project of Mr. Anderson where Timothy was her partner. Timothy was waiting for her when Peter was talking with Jamilah, Peter was naughty with Timothy and asked him what he want, Timothy answered he was waiting for Jamilah, Peter confused saw Jamilah and Jamilah gave a bad look to Timothy, and Timothy left the classroom. Few minutes later Jamilah realized that she was naughty with Timothy and said she was sorry. On chapter 23 Jamilah received an email from John, the email said how John is spending his weekend with her father, John has some troubles with his dad, so the email each other talking about how he can have a better relation with his dad.

On chapter 14 Jamilah received again an email from John, the one that has been sending emails to her. On the email John asked Jamilah if she knows Lebanon, Jamilah answered to him that she's been there but she don't remember too much. Few minutes ago John asked again Jamilah which are the ten things she hate and finally Jamilah wrote to him all the ten things. Most of them were about her religion and where she born. John said to Jamilah that she's setting herself up, that sooner or later all the religious and ethnics stuff are going to reveal themselves. On chapter 15 Jamilah talks to her brother about working on McDonalds, she said to him that if he thinks dad let her work, her brother said to her that it could be, because she's gonna be mature and have some economical resources, but he said to Jamilah that she has to insist. On chapter 16 it's jus about Peter and Jamilah talkin, of course Peter just not talkin also flirting with Jamilah, he asked Jamilah if she likes the rugby, Jamilah said she's not expert on the rugby, she just know that there are guys with a ball, "killing" themselves. When Jamilah mentioned that, Peter said to her that she must go to a Rugby play, it was a kind of invitation, when finally Peter leave the classroom, Amy went with Jamilah and asked her if she would accept an invitation of Peter, Jamilah said no but in her mid was kind of yes and no, yes because Peter it's interesting no because her dad, again, wont let her go out with a guy. On chapter 17 Jamilah email John, and she add to him the recipe of a burger, she said to him that she's officially working on McDonalds and he replies to Jamilah if she realize how many calories are in her newly acquired profession, of course this was a joke, then they talked about John father's. On chapter 18 Jamilah talked with Amy in the phone, it was the first time they talked 3 hours. They talked about Liz and how she change with Sam, Amy mentioned that she can't stand people who change themselves just to fit in. Then Jamilah try to tell Amy that she was Lebanese but she didn't do. Then Jamiha after finished with Amy, send an email to John asking if her father can defend her from the school, for violating all her rights, etc. Jamilah says that she will die of a broken heart if he says no. For the first time Jamilah has something in her life that's cool, like having a job, having some free. I think Jamilah has been spoken all that she wants with her friend, John, the email man.
